Return to Camden Town Festival are collaborating again this year with London’s long-established Musical Traditions Club to present a concert of traditional Irish song.
From Dublin, Niamh Parsons is considered one of Ireland’s finest singers; a great communicator, admired for her expressive voice, her intricate ornamentation and for her strong sense of the story behind the song. Her long-time accompanist, Graham Dunne, is renowned for his masterly guitar playing and for his subtle support of Niamh’s singing.
“Their latest CD, Kind Providence, provides a feast of delights and a masterclass in the concept of less is more”. Mark Lysaght, tradconnect.com.
“In a voice filled with sweet melancholy and stately passion, Niamh Parsons sings traditional Irish songs, making ancient tales of love sound tender and immediate. A remarkable a cappella singer”. New York Times.
