The band described by Irish Music Magazine as ‘one of the best on the scene today’, celebrates it 10th anniversary in 2010. Over the past decade, the Lasses have brought their unique sound to some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and concert halls, including Cambridge Folk Festival, the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Glastonbury, Ballyshannon, Philadelphia Irish Festival and the Royal Albert Hall, where the band performed the first ever BBC Proms céilí as part of the 2008 Proms.

The Lasses’ current line-up sees the addition of Co. Kerry flute player Elma McElligott and Co. Down singer/harpist Brona McVittie, who join long-standing band members Karen Ryan (fiddle/mandola), Elaine Conwell (fiddle), Maureen Linane (accordion) and Pete Quinn (piano/keyboard). It is, surprisingly, the first time in the Lasses' history that all the band members have been based in London. They recently released their 4th album, By Night and By Day.
