Karen Ryan

Karen Ryan has been teaching children and adults in North London for ten years and is also a founder member of Meitheal Cheoil. Performing, teaching and adjudicating brings her far and wide in the UK, Europe and the US. Recent workshop venues have included Wigmore Hall and Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

Karen has an uncompromisingly traditional style of fiddle playing which uses much tastefully placed ornamentation and strong rhythm. Karen is a member of the dynamic traditional band The London Lasses. She is the co-founder and Artistic Director (Music) of Return to Camden Town Festival.
