Frankie Gavin is one of the genuine legends of Irish music. With All-Ireland Championship victories on both fiddle and flute, sixteen albums with Dé Dannan, seven solo albums as well as appearances with luminaries such as Earl Scruggs, Stephane Grapelli, Sir Yehudi Menuhin and The Rolling Stones, ‘the prince of Irish fiddlers’ is one of the outstanding performers of the last thirty years. Carl Hession (piano and keyboards) is widely regarded as one of the finest accompanists, composers and arrangers in traditional Irish music circles. He has worked with many different artists and is featured on numerous recordings with musicians such as Joe Derrane, Kevin Crawford and the band Moving Cloud. Damien Mullane was born in Cork, lived in London for fifteen years and now resides in Co. Kerry. Damien’s talent as an accordion player has been widely acknowledged and to date he has won seven All-Ireland titles, two World Fleadh titles, the Danny Kyle award (from Scotland’s Celtic Connections festival) and the Young Musician of the Year award in London during 2002. Galway-born Eric Cunningham (percussion) has been a soloist with RTE orchestras and has worked with many top artists including Mícheál O’ Súilleabháin, Charlie Lennon and Steve Cooney. He holds a degree and first class honours masters in music and was awarded the Séan O’Riada Memorial Award by the National University Ireland. Mike Galvin (guitars) resides in Co. Kerry and is best known for his innovatory approach to music. He tours regularly with Riverdance soloist Niamh Ní Charra and the all-female group The Bridies. Michelle Lally is a powerful new singer who has just emerged from Galway. Her renditions of contemporary easy listening Irish music are impossible to resist with the gentle charm of her immediately identifiable pure tone.
