Christy McNamara
Born and reared in Co. Clare, he is the first ever Irish winner of a Communication Art Award for his photograph of the fiddle player Paddy Killoughery. His work is held in many private and public collections worldwide and has been exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, La Jolla San Diego, London and Ireland. His influences are often drawn from his locale and its people and also from his musicianship and love of traditional music, especially evident from his work on the book The Living Note with the writer and radio producer Peter Woods. He now divides his time between Spancilhill and New York.
