Andy Martyn and Kevin Boyle

Andy Martyn and Kevin Boyle are members of Le Chéile, the iconic band of the 1970s which reunited in 2006 and gave us an unforgettable night of music at last year’s Return to Camden Town Festival.

Andy grew up surrounded by the traditional Irish music of North London. Being from a Loughrea, Co. Galway family it was perhaps inevitable that he would take up the button accordion from a young age. Inspired by Brendan Mulkere and the many great musicians he played with in his early years he is now one of the finest exponents of the instrument. Down the years he has been a powerful force on the thriving London session scene and has toured extensively with the Ron Kavana Band and Slip Jigolos.

Kevin was born and raised in London. During the glory days of the 1970s, he was a regular punter and then a band member at sessions in The White Hart on Fulham Broadway and The Favourite. Kevin was a founder member of Le Chéile and he also plays regularly with Paul Brennan and Brendan McGlinchey. A CD of his own music and song The Dimblebys is currently in production and a new Le Chéile album is due for release shortly.
