Rún

Rún has been described by the Irish World as “refreshingly different to anything else that’s around.” Led by Irish singer, Brona McVittie, the ensemble performs four-part harmony arrangements of Gaelic songs that would traditionally be sung ‘sean nós’ (the old way), both acapella and with Celtic harp.

Their repertoire includes well known ditties like Casadh an tSúgain (twisting the hayrope) and Bo Na Leath Adhairce (the one-horned cow). Rún – meaning secret, wish or love – currently includes Lewis Barfoot, Alli Buhagiar, Sonja Byrne and Evrah Albyventure.
