Brian Rooney, John Carty and Arty McGlynn

We are delighted to be able to feature the outstanding Leitrim fiddle player, Brian Rooney, in concert with renowned multi-instrumentalist and member of Patrick Street, John Carty, together with Arty McGlynn, Ireland’s foremost guitarist, to celebrate the release earlier this year of the album, At Complete Ease.

Brian, who has lived in London since his teens, has been held in the highest regard for more than four decades by musicians and lovers of Irish music in ‘The Smoke’. His now classic debut recording, The Godfather, was released in 1999 and was followed in 2002 by Leitrim to London.

After a gap of almost a decade, Brian’s latest recording was launched in March this year. Having known ach other and played together for many years, he and John Carty have recorded At Complete Ease, an album of duets. John’s son, James and Brian’s brother, Mickey make guest appearances on fiddle and the accompaniment is provided by Alec Finn, Brian McGrath and of course, Arty McGlynn.
