Accordion wizard Luke Daniels launches his new CD, The Mighty Box, in London at Return to Camden, accompanied by bodhrán player Junior Davey, who features on the album, together with Tad Sargent on cittern guitar.

The Mighty Box is a collection of seventy-one tunes, compiled from traditional Irish music archives, sessions and Luke’s own compositions. Recorded with bodhrán player Junior Davey over two days in Co Sligo, the playing is raw, spontaneous and full of life. The recording also features the contributions of guitarists Seamie O’Dowd and Dennis Cahill and double bassist Rick Foot, whose accompaniment and musicianship helps turn a feast of Irish accordion playing into a wonderful listening experience.
